A Cosy Cottage Transformation in Danbury, Essex
Nestled in the picturesque village of Danbury, this kitchen project perfectly balances timeless charm with modern functionality. Designed to complement the character of a traditional cottage, the space features a stunning Shaker-style kitchen in an elegant blue, accented with luxurious gold handles and fixtures. The striking colour scheme adds a bold yet sophisticated touch, while seamlessly blending with the cottage’s authentic features, including exposed beams and original doors.
A standout feature is the classic Shaws butler sink, paired with a state-of-the-art Quooker tap, offering instant boiling water for convenience. Neff appliances were chosen throughout the kitchen, providing innovative technology that integrates effortlessly into the traditional design.
To enhance the family’s comfort and create a multi-functional space, we designed a cosy corner seating area, perfect for relaxed mornings or casual evenings. This bespoke nook not only adds charm but also maximises space, offering additional storage drawers, and making it an inviting spot for the whole family.
For those who love to entertain, we crafted an impressive drinks unit. With ample storage and display space, it’s a practical yet stylish addition, ideal for hosting guests or enjoying a quiet drink at home. A separate utility room, accessed from the main kitchen, provides a practical solution for laundry and additional storage. The utility space retains the cottage’s character while offering modern convenience.
